It's okay to...
I've been different all my life. I think differently. I live differently. My views about religion, education, politics and other touchy subjects, differ from a lot of people I come in contact with. Some people like me, some people don't. The important thing is, I like myself. I like being different. I like being me.
Now, just because I'm different, doesn't mean I think I'm better than anyone else. I have plenty of flaws and weaknesses; I simply choose to view them differently. I believe my flaws are beauty marks and my weaknesses are strengths in disguise. Hey, it works for me, okay? My point is, I fight my share of demons, but I'll never stop trying to sanctify those little suckers!
We're all familiar with the adage, "don't try to reinvent the wheel." While this has some truth to it, I'm really glad certain people in history didn't live their lives by that motto. I'm glad they looked at the wheel differently. Otherwise, we'd still be rolling around on Flinstone-esque wheels. I'm glad Christopher Columbus looked at the earth differently. I'm glad Albert Einstein looked at the universe differently. I'm glad Jesus Christ looked at people differently. You see my point?
If you want to make a difference, you have to do something different.
Ding, ding, ding!
Hey, here's a crazy thought: Let's do it!
