Makes me wonder... Am I that faithful to MY "friends"? Are YOU?
It's easy to let days, weeks, even months go by without seeing or communicating with our "people". We need our people and they need us!
“A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked” ~Bernard Meltzer~
Good news! There is a solution. And while it is quite simple and staring us directly in the eyeballs, sometimes we still need a refresher course.
1. Call them: It doesn't have to be a 2 hour conversation. Just a quick check-in and check-up can go a long way!
2. Show your tech savvy: Facebook, Skype, Tweet, email, or text them. With all the forms of communication we have available today, there is really no excuse for not staying in touch! JUST DO IT!
3. Set a date: Lunch, a movie, an outdoor activity, an indoor activity...whatever you fancy (I like that word, "fancy"). The point is, set a date to spend time together. Don't just say, "let's get together soon". Sooner will become later unless you set a date. Put it on your calendar! BOOM!
Now that you've had this friendly reminder (no pun intended), get out there and nurture your friendships!
"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly" ~Proverbs 18:24~
