Loneliness will break your spirit. It will bleed your soul. It will wound your heart and your ability to love and trust. It will leave you empty and void. It will force you to do things, and make decisions out of fear or desperation. It will laugh at your tears, and feel no remorse for the damage it has caused. It will tease you by leaving just long enough for you to think you’re healing, then it will come back with a vengeance. It will take you to hell and try to leave you stranded. It will give no answers and offer no explanations. It will take as it sees fit. It will drag you to the ledge and dare you to jump. It will try to convince you that it alone is your fate…your destiny.
It will force you to your knees...
But you see, this is where loneliness makes it’s fatal mistake. In taking everything from you, and pushing everybody away from you, it only clears the path for something much more powerful to intervene…Faith. Faith is so powerful in fact, that just the slightest glimmer will overcome the ruthless forces of loneliness. It will begin to repair the damage caused by it’s predecessor. It will mend your spirit. It will revive your heart and your ability to love and trust. It will fill you. It will inspire you to do things out of hope and surety. It will dry your tears as it transforms your entire being into a beautifully, untouchable work of art. It will take your hand and pull you from the depths of hell. It will give meaning and explanation for the things that seem unexplainable. It will walk you safely away from the ledge. It will convince you that it alone is your fate…your destiny.
It will lift you from your knees and place you at the peak of the mountain.
So remember, never give up and never give in. It’s when we’re at our lowest, loneliest points, that faith is given the prime opportunity to take over. We just have to believe…
